Default What grease is used on the caliper pins?

As the title. I am in the process of rebuilding the calipers after completely striping them down and having them refurbished and painted. On the rebuild I will use silicone grease on the pin boots, but what grease do you use on the actual pins?

Has anyone else used cv grease on brake slider pins out of interest ? Just changed discs and pads and would rather redo pins if highly recommended not use cv grease. Thanks

I've always used copper grease without any issue. I thought that's what everybody used?

Marine water proof grease , like Fuchs Renolit 2

Copper slip is not for this application , and it will not resist water , it's to lube threads etc during assembly

It will be ok , there no great load , it's intermittent a bit of transmitted heat but the Cv grease is fine for that, it will be fine.

In my humble opinion not the first choice , certainly better than copperslip, it lubricates and is slippery , if u have dodgy boots and let's face it they are not exactly super tough in time it will get washed out.
