Default What to get for an S

Im looking for an S2000 at the min but i just wnted to ask some questions before i buy about how much i will be spending after i get the car.

I currently have a 55 reg Prem CTR and at first wanted to get a lotus elise but after having a test drive of both the elise and the S2K i went for the honda.

First of all what are good lowering springs for these? I want it looking low but not rediculous. Where can i get these and at what price am i looking at?

Second is induction, i here its hard to get better performance so just a cheapish one that will sound mean without losing performance. Price and where to get it

Thirdly is i want a good fitting replica splitter or lip. Any suggestions on good sites i can browse thu???

Thanx alot for the help people

Generally lowering springs on the whole will spoil the handling seriously, the only springs i would recommend is 'Swift' i have these, they only lower by inch at the back etc (not far off stock spring rate etc), cant be bothered going into detail as a did a thread ages ago well 2 week ago and See 'loftusts' thread i commented on.

Induction simply AEM or k&n fipk

Do a seach soooooooo many threads on this topic.

I was thinking about an induction kit too.

Is it a must to go for an enclosed jobbie? As in, will I loose power if I go for an 'open' one? I'm not expecting great gains, just fancy a better sound with the roof down this summer!!

Mike are you an S2KUK member and have you tried some of the suppliers who offer discounts?

Depends on how much you lower the car, you may also consider the hidden cost below.

Adjustable Rear Toe Arm
Front Rack Spacers
Drive Shaft Spacers
Anti Bump Steer?

and ofcourse, a geo done after lowering the car.

1) Buddy Club Race Spec Coilovers
2) Not sure, I gutted the stock air box
3) APR Wind Splitter with rods

I don't know where to get these in the UK or the prices for there but I could give some suggestions on websites for the US that might ship there. I'm sure you should be able to find these over there if you were to go with these suggestions.

You'll struggle to find just springs that give a drop you are after.
Theres a good reason or two for that.

So either live with about 1" drop or take on the expense (and far better) option of the coilovers and ancillaries.

This is a very complex and expensive car to tinker with.
A properly sorted low end coilover mod will set you back about
