Default What controls wether the headlight washer sprays or not?

MY05, when I pull the windscreen washer stick, sometimes it also sprays water on my headlights. Sometimes not.

I was wondering if its just luck of the draw or if something controls this?

On my previous MY01 there was a separate button for it but now it seems to be integrated. I didn't get a manual with the car so can't look it up!

It's in the FAQ - search for "washer" there and all will be revealed

On the MY05 it is whether you have the headlights on or not.
Lights on = spray.
Lights off = no spray.

There is a 30a fuse in the small fuse box under the bonnet (actually marked on the lid as to which one). Whip it out and put it in the blank space next to it. No spray and no more car looking like it has Rabies.

FWIW the link in the FAQ is broken - wayback machine has changed their URL:

/edit strange - I'm normally pretty good at working the internet - I was expecting that to embed the pic

Some of the early face lift cars washed the HIDs as well as the screen every time you did the screen.
Many owners had a mod done by the dealer that was std on +05 cars so they only washed when both the lights and the screen wash was in action.
TBH it's simpler to just pull the fuse
