Default Wet Weekend

Had a fun drive from London to Stoke yesterday up M1 across A50 - big rain time and boy did I get soaked - the funny thing is I had the roof up for a change - but as soon I started pushing above 75mph the roof/window join section above my right shoulder just dripped and dripped and dripped - u get the picture. I was soaked after about 20 miles of driving.

What a choice drive slower and stay dry - or push on a bit and get very wet.

Any suggestions as to what I need to do to fix this?

Thanks a drying out Ceri.

And hello to the Red S2000 parked outside Stoke On Trent Train Station at 12.30 yesterday.

Ceri

Maybe this leak is designed in to the car as a warning not to drive the car in heavy rain at more than 75 mph.

Seriously though, how tight are the roof catches - sounds like that may be the problem, they can be adjusted, but I've no idea how.

Ceri, I have made a suggestion on the "new Users Intorduce Yourselves" thread.. Silicon Grease - Shin Etsu grease to Honda... have a look there and try a search over the past few weeks. There have been a few mentions of it since it started raining - I need some myself

I just had Honda check this for me at my 27k service. They have to replace some seal to stop the 'water ingress' as they called it.

Replace the seal? sounds a bit drastic. Mine got noticeably worse after i gave the S a really good clean (including the rubber bits on the hood around the window)

I'm reckoning on the need to reapply some gunk to them.. failing that my 27k is due in a couple of weeks

I had this problem at SM3 and if you all remember it Pi***d it down all day.

The Dealer adjusted the window hight, all now OK.

People of knowledge thank you - he's due his 54k service in a week or two so I will let them sort it out.

I expected the odd leak but not a waterfall!
