Default We're back

Just back from honeymoon today, lots of driving, lying on boats, going to some fantastic places, and just back in time for Arran

Firstly, the wedding was fantastic 30C at the coast in Northumberland until 9pm. I've never known it so hot up there

Then straight on to our honeymoon, where we picked up the Z4 2.2

A pretty good car - not a drivers machine like the S2k, but refined and Honda could learn a thing or too from BM to bring the S2 up to date - good stereo that lowers the volume when you slow down (very important in a convertible), sat-nav, that stopped us arguing once I'd worked out how to turn it on to English , a roof that doesn't need a tonneau, knee pads on the centre tunnel, and adjustable seats, and steering wheel. All made a big difference. It's a good cruiser for anyone not interested in actually driving the car and it suited the pace of the holiday perfectly.

Bavarian Alps had lots of bikers and some great roads...

ITR parked next to my car one morning

Some quality machines in Eastern Europe...

Bratislava

Budapest

Found this in a tiny German village called Essing, where we were staying. What a great loooking machine and those wheels

Trip to the Audi museuam on a rainy day, only 2Euro for a good 3 hours of looking round

S2000 spotted in Passau, couldn't stop to card it unfortunately

Our Second Z4 on the return leg of our journey, seemed to go much faster than our first, for some reason

Donuts, in a hire car? me? Surely not...

In the end we'd done

Munich, Bavarian Alps, Salzburg, Passau, Melk, Vienna, Bratislava, Budapest, Regensburg and back to Munich. And I'm now bloody knackered

Might post some proper holiday snaps (non car related) once I've sorted through them!

Good write up and great pics. Looks like you had good weather for the honeymoon as well as the big day.

See you on Friday. (Note rendezvous at Marine Hotel, Troon from 12 onwards)

BTW I kept it real by making sure I wore my S2ki cap whenever the top was down in the Beemer

I quite like the Z4 looks in black - my loaner is black - but handling is truly horrible
