It took my dad 2 years to get his excess back and his insurance would not give him his no claims till he got it.

Sorry to here of your misfortune, hope it all goes smoothly.

My own gripe (of many!) was I got hit in a previous car by someone coming through a stop sign. The unfortunate thing was it was about 10 days before my renewal and when I came to get a quote from them they said it was out of range (which apparently meant >

Here's some piccies. Car is minging dirty though. Just before this mornings little excursion I was thinking I'd give her a damn good clean after work - boo hoo.

Incident happened on the A689 near to the Bradbury Services.

Looks like it'll be Monday now before I can get a courtesy / hire car. Oh the joy of the prospect of driving around in a 1.2 Ford Ka. I hope it pisses down.

Good luck getting it sorted.

I really understand why some drivers don't bother with insurance; the insurance companies & their ambulance chasers ain't worth a wank, for the most part.

Thanks for the wise words fellas..... much appreciated.

Superficially the car doesn't look too bad but I'm a bit worried about the bits underneath. Steering wheel was well off centre and there was a worrying wobble / rumble from the rear end when I moved it to a safer location. It certainly wasn't a happy bunny.
