Well serviced
Had my car serviced today including tapet adjustment and diff oil change - what a difference!
From the moment I pressed the starter it was obvious - it started sooner and without the 'jolt' it had before as it fired, plus it idles much more sweetly.
On the road it revs more cleanly and quickly, the Vtec effect is more obvious and the diff is silent.
I've never known a car to be so sensetive to a bit of garage TLC, but I can understand that a highly strung engine like the S2000's would be, compared to the quick but more ordinary units in my previous cars.
Is it usual for a service to make such a difference - it really is night and day?
No matter what, I'm well chuffed

Interesting, Alan Day Soton managed to make a complete hash of my 27k service. Sounds like Winchester is the place to go.
Ive got my 36k service at Crown Bushey tomorrow. Jorge isnt there, but hope service will be better than Alan Day Soton!

Used to use these guys. I tried to get them to sign up the the discount for S2KUK members, but they will give the discount but every time I had to negotiate. I have had 3 services with them and their Service manager Sal has never given me any confidence. The last straw was my 73K service when they stamped my service book to say they changed the transmission oil but they didn't and I had to do it myself. Personally I don't think they have a clue what they're doing and I have no confidence in them.
I had my 81K service at City Honda in Basingstoke, early days yet, but they were excellent, they have discounts for members and didnt try to fleece me.
