Well it's finally happened
After 11 years & 62k miles a hole has appeard in my roof just above the passengers shoulder.
Now - do I replace with an original plastic rear window ( to maintain originality) or do i upgrade to a glass rear window...
At least it makes the decision to buy a hard top easier - I won't be this year.

Get hold of an old shitty roof with a HRW. Autolink uk ltd have a good stock of mx5 HRWs...perhaps check the sizes and see if they are comparable?
Take it, and your car to that place in Swansea who fit a new roof and the window for less than £300

This happened to mine and i've done nothing with it yet. My car is garaged though.

Mines garaged but occasionally I get caught out in the rain & SWMBO insists the roof goes up
The hole is in the main bit of the roof not the bit that gets replaced with the window.

Get some material tape and stick it on the inside, you can be neat! It really won't leak bad unless it's a big hole! I have a few little ones and no leak and car is never garaged save yourself a few quid, buy a hardtop if your that bothered !
