Just back from Hampshire having put my deposit on a 54 Rev 3 Roadster in Moonrock with half red leather. MY FIRST S2!! But I've gotta wait till Saturday to fetch it, AAAAARRRGGGHHH!

Was going to go for an early Rev 2, but couldn't find the right one, so streeeettttccched my budget big time and got the Rev 3, with 32000ish on the clock.

That's cheeky, the sales guy told me that Rev 2 had new panels on it so he wasn't going to buy it! Was it THAT obvious I could be talked up to the Rev 3...!?

Meh I dunno the guy acctualy talked me down from a Rev3 lol. I insisted I wanted to get a Hard top later so he told me to forget the glass screen and pay less for a lower milleage version with no Glass screen.

It kinda made sense to me. I saved nearly 3K and I'll use some of that later to buy myself a hard top. Seeing as during winter I'll have the hard top on and in the summer it'll be mostly top down. That works just fine for me

Dont really care about 17" wheels etc as I plan on getting some nice custom ones anyway as well as new front bumper and rear also.

All in all I'm chuffed with my purchase. I paid 12K for it with 1 previous owner, full honda service history and no accidents the body work was perfect and pretty low milleage.

I think I got a good deal.

Sounds good to me!

I was originally going for a hard top GT too, but the lure of a Rev 3 just on the edge of my budget was too great to resist! I'll be leaving it standard, cos I'm like that! Plus you can't get Moonrock before 2004, which I love. Ah well, I'll just have to get used to being poor for a few months!

I reckon my deal wasn't too bad for a Rev3 either, so everybody's happy!

I suppose at least the S2k is a good start, unlike the Chavved up Corsas etc! I gather the first 'mod' is to remove the air box cover?

Needless to say, I'm now a member.
Welcome!:

I assume you must mean member of S2K UK rather than the s2ki web site - the status label under your user name still says guest

(See the thread stuck at the top of the main board for an explanation of the difference between the two entities)

The reference to Hampshire and the fact that you describe the car by reference to Rev 2 and 3 suggests you bought from S20004U....? (They're the only people I know of who use the "Rev1/2/3" description)

Ah yes, just discovered that subtlety! I am a S2kUK member, not S2ki. And yes, it was S20004U. No wonder you're a lawyer with Holmes-esque powers of deduction like that!

I presume MY99-01 is Rev 1, MY02-04 is Rev 2 and MY04-06 is Rev 3. Not sure if the addition of ESP/VSC or whatever they call it qualifies for a new Rev (4)?!

Oh, and ta for the welcome!
