<chortle> don't believe everything you read...
Car's based on the Elise floorpan, so won't be that expensive to engineer and produce - seems a logical step and would fill the gap left by the Esprit.
Lotus apparently are denying the plans at the moment
If they can get over the poor quality image and make the car more practical than the Elise/Exige without losing much of the handling they could be onto a winner. Big "if" though I suppose..........

The Z after six months of launch was running at 0% depreciation, think of the money he could have made. Even now it seems to be performing much better than expected, even though it was expected to be at 59% after three years.
Can't see the Company discount being BIG!!? Nissan make less money on the Z than they do on a Micra. but working for Nissan you'd know that
Just how big a discount are we talking?? Maybe we could do business

The magazine has pics of a lightly disguised running prototype - seems they have not decided what engine might go in it - they hope to stick GM V6 in IIRC.

Think he's managed to do that himself. Fancy not wanting to buy an award winning car when he reckons he can get a substantial discount. Faster (depending who you listen to) and more exclusive than your own car

I wouldnt buy a car just because it won a Top Gear award, id buy it because i liked it, i dont like the Z so i wont buy one.
Anything made in the uk is 23% discount, anything made outside the uk is 18%.
So on a Z the saving would be close on

There are 4 Z's in the car park i use for work, only my S.
Ade 73- cut the guy some slack will ya!? He likes the Z, you don't. Big deal. They're both nice cars - very different (hense the opinions) - but both "good" cars... hense the awards and good reviews BOTH have received.
Oh, FWIW, there are more S2000s in the UK than 350Zs. That is a basic fact (which should should know given that YOU WORK FOR NISSAN). Maybe your area is just subject to a localised abundance of Zs and paucity of Ss?
FWIW (MkII) I prefer the coupe to the roadster. Same as the TT (oooh another dirty word - hope no-one WORKS FOR AUDI) it hasn't made the transition to roadster too well (IMHO).

I actually think the Audi TT is one of the most gorgeous coupe's ever made, the problem is that its not that great to drive and WAY too common. The 350Z is a good looking car too, not as good looking as the TT was when it came out, but at least the 350Z is RWD and can drive. Shame it weighs more than a real Tonka truck
The 350Z will become common and I really don't think the 59% residuals will last. The S2000 on the other hand still retains over 60% and its been around for nearly 6 years... pretty good going.
