Thanks both - Mark, let me know if you decide to sell that part used tub of wax!

By the way, concerning the smooth finish, I don't think I will use the cutting agent as I cut through the laquer on the wing of my Prelude though being too zealous with Autolglym polish (I haven't used that ever again since - only wax). I don't want any chance of that happening to my S

I'm waiting on a shipment of Zaino as part of the latest GB. Assuming I decide that it's any better than Zymol (and I'm very sceptical....), I may have some Zymol Japon wax for sale - probably around 60-70% of a tub.

Cheeky worm, Armstrong - you're one to talk! Feel free to drop in on your way home tonight to see what a proper colour looks like when it's clean

At least when mine has been polished, you can tell the difference!

Twice a year:-

Wash the car with Fairy liquid
Clay bar the entire car

Polish with Zymol (small jar that came in the Japon kit from here www.vertar.com)

Weekly the car is washed with Zymol auto bathe

Monthly the car is polished with Zymol Cleaner wax which can be sourced at Halfords.

Many people comment on both the depth on the finish on the car, the smoothness of the paintwork and how it always looks clean.

The above regime keeps the car to a very high standard for an ungaraged daily driver which I'm really happy with and also means I don't spend every weekend washing and polishing it.

Hope that helps
Claybar and Clense twice a year
But throw out that cleaner wax.
The more coats of the Estate Glaze wax you get on the paintwork the more depth of shine and protection you will get. (be it Japon, Titanium, Concours or whatever)
The cleaner wax acts like a cheap version of the HD-Clense and a wax combined. You are just undoing all the good work of the HD-Clense and Japon wax.

You can get at least TEN coats of the Zymol wax on the car before you will need to strip it off and start again from HD-Clense.

And what's all this I keep hearing about powder left behind.
I do get some from the HD-clense sometimes if I am a bit careless, but that's only twice a year as we have ascertained. I certainly don't get any residue from the wax. It goes on like a fine liquid coat.

Unless it's from the cleaner wax? Not tied that one.

I feel a Zymol Masterclass for the FAQ coming on. The questions keep on coming back round over and over.
