Default Waterodynamic ???

I always thought that driving at 50+ top down in the rain kept me dry - WRONG

I had cause to test this yesterday when a tropical storm hit on the A130. 50 mph, that's safe no Water poured round the side of the screen and into my lap. OK, side deflectors up No water travelled up the side window and into my face OK, increase speed Up to *** and I was still getting wet

Traffic snarl-up, down to 30, now I'm bloody soaked

Anyone else found that when it rains hard enough, there's no avioding getting wet?

yes, in a proper downpour you get wet, with me the water edged its way along the side window and flicked back from the back edge to soak me.

of course if you try driving in hail stones then they just plain smack into your face and head!!!

LOL

If it rains heavily there is no escaping it.

Bigger rain drops fall more vertically and wont be deflected in the airstream around your windscreen so easily. It does come in round the sides too.

I find the same - if it's really chucking it down, there's nowt you can do.

The side window thing is particularly annoying, as it gets to the point where so much water is dripping into the cockpit it looks like a hitchhiker wet himself in your passenger seat - not good.
