How much does a retainers change cost?

I think that price is ballpark right if it has done 28k

Fitting I guess a day or so, lots of people here have done it so will give you a more accurate view..

You're in North Wales, aren't you Burnsy? Toms1989 might be able to give you some pointers or even a hand, as he's from that neck of the woods too and he fitted his engine not long ago.

Looks like the plug destroyed itself / melted coilpack and the pistons ate the leftovers.

I give up, that's a weird set of ailments - coil blown up, clean piston crown - did the spark plug disintegrate or something ?
