Default warranty work

I have just spoken to Browns Honda, Loughton about replacement of the wheels on my Feb.'00 S2k which are starting to flake (in addition to a couple of rust spots on the bodywork)

They weren't sure whether the wheels were covered by the warranty (told me to go in tomorrow and they will have a look).

Can anyone shed light on this for me? (having looked at previous threads it seems that people have managed to get them replaced).

Any advice on how to deal with them would be most welcome or better still, can anyone recommend a good dealer in/around East London, Essex or East Sussex?

Many thanks

Dom

They should replace under warranty its a well known/documented problem, I just took the car in they took a photo and ordered the wheels. Tell them to contact Honda if they are reluctant.

Joecro had a new set put on his ex abt a 2 months ago at Chiswick Honda because of corrosion. He seemed pretty satified with the service and replacement.

I had mine replaced a month ago and they changed them without a problem. It did take Honda almost 2 months to get it approved though.
The new wheels are absolutely spot on now. Real quality finish!!!

I would get on their case as soon as possible.

Thanks everyone,

I didn't get time to take it in yesterday but hope to this week (armed with my dossier of s2k owners who have got theirs replaced!!)

On another topic....Isabelle, I recall that you wanted to know how to get hold of those modulo titanium interior parts from Japan.

I have found a company that has previously exported them and emailed them on Friday (from work) asking if they still did, price etc.

I will let you know their response.

Cheers

Dom,

Will you be going to the pub meet tonight? You could compare with other cars.
