It's an add on for TomTom - Point Of Interest Warner The Sites Here.
Have Sync with the data base and it downloads Speed Cams that people report.
Data is good and accurate.

Cheers Allan.
Looks like I'm behind the times here.
I still need sat nav to get over my navigational incompetence, and this sounds like it could have been a better solution.
Oh well......

Its song and dance routine on start up is just stupid.
Ok, so it's a bit convoluted, but at least you know what it's up to and, when it doesn't get an immediate fix, you know about it and won't get caught out.

Have you got any more info on the speed camera warning part of it Jaeger?
Cheers, Ed.

That's a bit harsh. It displays a logo, then a summary of the settings (which is a bit pointless) and then moves to the sattelite detection screen. Only when it has a good fix does it display the "normal" screen.

The Snooper goes straight to a Pictogram of the car, trying to find its four friends in the sky.
Faster & more elegant.
I admit the speed display's too small, but generally, less is more!

So TomTom will warn of speed cameras as well then? I couldn't find this listed in their features on their website. I've been considering getting some form of SatNav, but have just forked out on a B2. If I could get it "all-in-one" for a bit more then I may sell the B2 and getting something like this.

I've been running them both for over a year and the speed cams are pretty good.
TomTom links to POI Warner in there site somewhere but they don't promote it too much.
The sites here POI Handler has lots of things listed and Shell Garages are included.
I use to use the LPG locations and uploaded the data there when I had the Range Rover. If you've got info on locations of things you use a lot you can create the group and upload.
Have found Optimax a couple of times now when in an area I wasn't sure of.
Now running TT3 and POI is happy with it. It has a sync facility you pay for the speed cams info about 12Euros a year I think all the others are free.
Anything else just ask.
