looking fantastic - i'd love to do this one day.

Track day season at Knockhill looks on the cards 2023 then?

Looks good, the rear fitment looks like it should take the 255 with some of the bumper cut away. Think i have similar and a slight roll, 8.5" was the stock width with the CR and the 255 tyres iirc.

This is amazing, all witchcraft as far as I'm concerned

Thanks, nuts and bolts is the easy bit! I can cope with that.

Cheers, big improvement on how it was anyway.

Yup that's the plan! Hopefully not miss the whole year again.

Thanks. Yeah there should be clearance even with the bigger tyres (it is 235's on the wheels at the moment), part of the metal has been trimmed I think but you're right the bumper may need a slight fettle too. 255's will be ok on the 8.5's but would be better on slightly wider wheels to stretch them a little.

Coming together very nicely indeed - loving the wheels btw !
Are you popping in driveshaft spacers - assuming it's going to be lowered.

Cheers. No I wasn't planning on running them, I thought they are just to move the CV bearings away from any wear in the cup (like i have), but swapping the cups one side to the other also fixes it... then if they wear again I'll need spacers!

 See how you go when its all back together and you have driven it - interesting thread on the topic here : https://www.s2ki.com/forums/s2000-un...ed-car-693173/

Forgot to reply to you but I think that was the thread that made me just decide the swap the cups initially - see how it goes and if it's a free fix or not!

Another update and some good progress. The brake calipers were next on the list and in need of a refurb, the fronts weren't too bad but as posted previously one of the rears was missing the dust boot on the piston so had started to seize. I purchased a full rebuild kit with seals, sliders & pistons and must've been too busy swearing whilst assembling them as I took no photos! Getting the boot over the piston and into the caliper body is definitely the worst part and very fiddly, the finished items look good though -

HEL braided lines have also been fitted

I've seen posts about issues with the upper arm mounts on the early cars so before getting stuck into assembling the front end I wanted to get the mounts welded up and got a friend round to add a few TIG runs which should be sufficient to reinforce them, certainly will be stronger than just the spot welds:

After that my most recent black Friday purchase finally arrived:

I've always wanted to try a set of ohlins so thought I may as well treat the S2000 to them, I'm a fan of Meisters on the MX5 but I know with the Ohlins they're future proof effectively as if the car does become a serious track car the coilovers can be re-valved to suit. For now these are the HOS MI21 kit with standard valving but I choose 120N/mm front springs and 100N/mm rear which should suit the non-staggered tyre setup I plan to run later.

I quickly got them assembled then on the car so I could stare at them a bit longer!

The front end is going back together with new honda track rod ends, blue print inner tie rods and lower ball joints. The lower ball joints may be swapped out later for camber adjustable ones if I can't get the numbers I want during alignment.

It feels like it's coming together now and not too much left to do, the next thing is making up some brake ducting and hopefully a shiny new exhaust then it can finally be dropped back on the floor!

Wonderful work as always - it almost seems a shame to drive it and get it all dirty :D

Ducting for the rears especially is a must if you are doing serious track/race work.
