Default Vtech Variations MY99 and MY00

I ahve a 99V on which the Vtech Kicks in at6k rpm and then keeps going progressively. To which I have no complaints

However, I drove my friends 00W today and booted it, but to my suprise, the vtech kicks in at 6k, then again at 7k.

Does this sound normal and who's is correct?

It also feels 'tighter' below 5k rpm in the 00W. Is there a change in the ecu/clutch/transmition/engine in the 00W to the 99V. I'm not aware of this but had to ask.

Thanks.

Reset the ECU on the 00 and try it again.
There ought not to be a noticeable difference!

My engine note changes at 6K and starts to pull harder but there is another step at about 7.5k where it really pulls hard all the way to the redline.

Just assumed that was how all of them are.

afaik that's right. there is another step up at about 7.5k/8k - just not very noticeable - as in almost non-existant.

my old CTR had this as well...
