I would wait for it!
It may just save you when you are half asleep on a wet winters morning.
For summer fun there is a button to turn it off

Though most the EU imports coming in seem to have it on.

I have a MY06 civic (with VSA) at the moment while the dealer is undergoing some warranty work on my MY05, the car is actually growing on me!! Its only a 1.4 so I doubt the VSA has had much work in the last few days but its actually switchable on the civic too!
I would wait personally as it would add more value to the car come resale time. I had to wait 12 weeks for my Indy yellow one and I dont regret it a bit and like you were offered alternate colours! I think if you go for a lower spec than you originally wanted then when you give it the ownership never feels as special.
For those needing info on VSA its all here for your info!!

Interesting opinions considering I don't know anyone in the UK who has actually driven one with VSA yet.
Only downside I can see in waiting for a VSA car, is that you'll miss most of the summer, which would be a shame in this car as it's crap in the winter

Given the reputation of the car for ending up in the scenery, it's possible that VSA equipped cars will have a premium come resale - difficult to tell at this stage. Regardless of how effectived the system is, some people will just like the idea of having it as a safety net - rightly or wrongly. 16 weeks is a long time to wait in the summer though

If you using it as a daily car I would wait for it, great to have for peace of mind in the winter. If its a garage queen how much bad weather driving will you be doing?
