Default ViPEC ECU for DBW cars

http://www.vi-pec.com/

Gaspode and I are still truffling around for a solution to our "DBW so can't go FI" problems.
I have it on reasonable authority that it's possible to convert a DBW throttle back to conventional throttle by using the following
05 ECU + a nice long cut of loom
TB, Throttle cable, Throttle Peddle + brackets
Engine Wiring Loom
Lots of time, money and some pain with blood too.

Then someone on the Mods forum suggested the above, looks nice and has a good rep around the other marques that use them - seems to have lots of features too. They don't appear to do a plug and play version for the AP1 so it will probably require a fair bit of wiring but looks like all the stock sensors will still work with it.

Anyone ever come across this gear?

Danny, I thought Mase had the DBW issue under control?

I know he is definitely working on it because I supplied him with US and UK DBW ECU pinouts.

But the Vipec may give Mase a more elegant solution.
I've PM'd Mase the product page.

And anything that gets me in an FI machine quicker is good news.

Chris, he is as far I can tell but I just couldn't believe it hadn't been done before. I'll dig into these a little bit more as they look like a nice piece of kit, it's a standalone as well so this becomes a reasonable solution for all UKDM DBW owners.

Scott has PMd Mase to see what he thinks but it's worth having a look at if we don't have to guddle around for a different solution. Also, this might allow me to install RLTC whereas the hondata piggyback would still end up in the same limp home mode problem.

If your looking into standalone options for DBW you could use a MoTec (M4 IIRC but maybe M800) but they aint cheap.

When you say not cheap, how not cheap?

I'd imagine to convert to conventional throttle from DBW would be

MoTec have a DBW controller so no need to convert to a cable.

IIRC you're looking at around

And I'm suspecting if we need the Hondata K-Pro harness we are looking at
