Hi just bought my first s2000 and loving it, probably a stupid question but I aint sure if it's got a vinyl or mohair roof, kinda looks like mohair almost canvass feel, but not sure..Its a 2007 model and think its all original as only done 9k miles...did these come with vinyl as standard.

Now I always knew the S roof was known as vinyl, but I had a hole in mine from 2 years old which i patched until the entire roof was knackered and i replaced it with a Mohair one, supplied and fitted by one of the 2 preferred companies in the South.

The thing is its Vinyl , in fact its a fabric, could see this clearly in the split woven from man made fabric. And not a ghastly cheap plastic/vinyl thingy as seen on some Triumphs , MG's and MX5's which it appears are cheap as chips and look like fish and chip wrappings.

I think my non OEM Mohair looks more "black" maybe than the OEM , but other than that i would have an OEM or Mohair not much in it

Thanks for that, the reason I ask is that I would like to clean it and I have this http://www.lkperformance.co.uk/car-c...-500ml/218744# Renovo Vinyl Soft Top Cleaner and the Ultra Proofer so I take it would be safe to use
