Default VERY loud whistling sound

hello, back again! not having much luck lately.

right, now i'm having a very loud whistling sound when the car is moving. it doesn't go up or down in pitch with the engine and it sounds as though it is coming from towards the rear of the car. it also stops when the car is still and you cannot hear it on startup.

it occasionally goes away and then comes back with a vengeance.

it is really loud, especially in tunnels and very noticeable

any ideas?

you say you can't hear it while you're still? But can you hear it if you're still and rev the engine?

Not exactly a whistle, but a squeal - stone stuck between disc and the disc guard?
