if the parts are replaced under insurance, the parts are not yours to claim back. the insurer has basically bought them from you and replaced them with new.
you should see the look on the dealers face when i asked for the parts back from my civics first service, including the used oil filter and oil

No. Go through your insurance company. Sounds at-odds to everyone else, but let me explain:-
1) Claims history. This will go down as a non-fault claim by you now regardless of whether you go through your insurers or hers.
2) Consumer protection. YOU have absolutely NO contract with her insurers. All they've got to do is pay the garage you nominate - if that garage then screw the repair up and/or play silly beggars with you, it's entirely your problem, no one else will help. If you go through YOUR insurers, however, you DO have a contract with them, and even if you nominate the repairing garage they'll have to fight your corner if the garage cocks up.
