Default US spec parts

Hi guys, im looking for a US spec rear facelift bumper and have managed to source one, does no one else fancy these over here as i cant say i've seen any on a facelift car? no big crappy plinth and its all one piece and in my eyes looks a lot fresher.

May be worth while me bringing a couple back if anyone would be interested in one. Any other Us spec bits which are desirable over here.

This isn't a for sale thread merely a speculation

I considered this recently Lee, I thought about getting a JDM sized plate and wondered if a JDM plate would fit in the space where the US plates would.

A USDM bumper is the same as a JDM one so yes, that would fit.

How much would it work out for a bumper in colour Lee?

Is a JDM plate legal on a UK car?

I've seen plenty of JDM sized plates on UK cars before, so long as the font and the size of the font meet the necessary regulations. I'm sure it would be fine.

From what I've read (and I may have it completely wrong), anything up to 2001 is allowed to have JDM size plates, 2002 onwards must have UK size plates unless there is no way a UK plate can fit. So not quite sure what that would mean if you have a JDM/USDM bumper.

If you have a JDM/USDM rear bumper then there is no way a UK plate can fit.

True. Now I just look silly.

Edit: Although, looking on a couple of other forums, I think a guy on a Civic forum is even having to swap back to a UK spec bumper/plate recess due to having trouble with the Rozzers and his JDM sized plates.

They're not brand new bumpers so would be sourced second hand in the US then shipped across. I'd take it as being in colour a mega bonus. Initial costs seem to be around $220 for the bumper and shipping would vary dependant on numbers. im struggling to think what other parts from the US could be used on a UK model
