Urgent help please
As the title really. Came out this morning to go to work and pressed the lovely red button and the car turned over as usual but would not fire. It seems to be the case that the immmobilizer isn't turning off when the car is unlocked. Any advice would be gratefully appreciated. I'm glad I have another car for emergencies like this as my S is now abondoned half on and half off the drive.
Cheers

I think a few others have had this problem and it is due to the POS alarm that Honda UK insist on installing.
Is the car still under warranty? I think that it is a case of getting the car recovered to your nearest dealer.
Luckily Euro imports don't have this problem

My engine doesn't even turn over when my immob is activated. That said it could be an immob built into the alarm rather than the factory job.
Was Brian running the stock alarm? I thought he had better security Maybe he just had extra security on top of the alarm.

No warrnaty I'm afraid, ran out just before I got the car. Have been looking at extended warranty as car has FHSH but as usual it's one of the things I haven't got around to doing. Just read AE's problems on search and that was the alarm motherboard. If this is the case I don't know if I can just get a new alarm/ immobilizer installed as I was considering this anyway or if I need to get the car alarm/immobilizer fixed first and then get a new one leaving the old one still connected, bugger!

Neil, the alarm is still a standard honda fitted item, the extra security is seperate, thought the immobilizer may have several circuits and the one to the fuel may be the problem (only guessing) as the car seems to want to go, just can't fire
