Stuart the mechanic wasn't especially happy, but I think that was mainly due the amount of cars he had to fix.

No excuses for crashing.
When I saw the weather I really wished I'd gone yesterday. I thought it'd be wet and slippery, so decided not to.
Does sound like it's the battery to me too.

[QUOTE=jleroux,Feb 11 2008, 11:36 AM] You're not wrong there Mark! He's now got 5 or 6 chassis repairs to get sorted and a couple of other cars that need fairly major work (including BAT2). At this time of year every week we miss with a BaT CaT can cost us

Car problem was battery. New one has fixed it, but be careful getting a battery from halfords, the one mentioned (HB053) in the FAQ has two different versions, and on one of them, the terminal is too small, so make sure you check the terminal size.

MB - dealer one should be 50 quid max. Usually 45 or so.
If they play the "special" card for S2k and NSX, then it's time for Halfords.
And I thought the erroneous part number was in the FAQ? It's certainly been mentioned enough.

Bad luck Mark.
Cadwell is a tight track and to put a wheel off is not unusual so don't beat yourself up about it, especially considering the number of days you seem to do without incident. To come a cropper at one of the most challenging circuits in the country is no biggie, and it doesn't sound serious.
It's always been the place I most enjoy and dread racing at in equal measure for just that reason - technical, which offers loads of overtaking opportunities but narrow which means you're squeezed out a lot and the barriers never seem far enough away.
But then that's what gives Cadwell it's charm, I doubt Health and Safety would allow it to be built these days.

Are you sure you weren't looking at an HB054? That's what I have - exactly the same as the 053 but with the smaller JDM sized terminals.
