So after having the car for 6 weeks whilst the 5th and 6th synchros are done, I notice that there is a knocking noise coming from the back end when I pull away, and sometimes in second when applying accelerator. Honda take it in, "tighten driveshaft up" and say no noise. It's correct, but now the car pulls to the right heavily under acceleration, letting off the gas, it pulls heavily to the left! Feels really uneasy. Nice mechanic at dealership think it's the diff, as one wheel turns at the back when the other ones doesn't.

Any ideas/similar problems related to driveshaft?

Am I being paranoid but at 40k on a 03, I'd thought less would go wrong?

Geometry, quite possibly.

Honda recommends checking the alignment after transmission work, for that reason.

Most garages can't be bothered though.

Thanks...Yeah, I think they did that when I made the first comment....but I haven't actually done it myself...think I will do so myself
