I always file a little off the pads edges ie the paint coating to allow a little free movement, it will be easy with a straight edge to check the contact surface of the pad is flat and true and give an idea if a little/a lot of bedding in is required.
I was told by a mechanic I know and trust that copaslip should not be used with abs braking systems as the metal content can react with the abs sensors and confuse/screw up its ability to work safely.
