UK or JDM?
What do I buy? Or is it personal taste?
I didn't have this problem with my Impreza as the STI was far superior in all aspects (air-con, performance, etc...) over the UK variants in my price range.
So do I go with UK or JDM, what are the differences if any?
I've seen one for sale here - http://www.futurautos.co.uk/car_info...asp?car_id=116
Anybody know of this one or what the garage are like? Does it look OK?
BTW it has 58,000 miles on the clock.
Thanks,
Nick

Get a few insurance quotes on both, then work that out with the purchase price and there you go.
Alternatively buy a European car (RHD) still get the saving, then as long as it has a UK certificate of conformity then insurance shouldn't be different.
In fact insurance on my originally Belgium car is less than a UK one

Mine is an import ..
You get an extra 10bhp apparently (higher compression and different pistons I read somewhere). Doubt you'd notice it.
Early ones didn't have the light washers.
Also the Japanese engine gets 2 knock sensors and no oil pressure one (again, I think).
Some came with cloth seats, and colours like white which you couldn't get here.
For me the insurance didn't change.

higher compression rations.
If so, I might be interested in a JDM.....
A typo that I often make too, so I shouldn't mock....... But I still do!

I know those guys - they are a good company.
More experienced in Skylines etc. but they source good cars.
Mine's a JDM and has been fantastic - I have owned it for 5 years and still cna find nothing I want more. If you look properly you will find no difference in insurance; I have just renewed for
