UK ecu in JDM car

JDM cars have a knock sensor.
They don't have a VTEC Oil pressure sensor.
However, this runs on a +5v signal so can be easily bypassed.
The other thing I forgot about was teh immobiliser on teh EU ECU. JDM doesn't have one

Plus they are mapped differently for the compression difference between the two engines

I'm doing a v8 swap in a JDM car and I need a standard s2000 ecu to run a fee things. Will a Uk ecu still work for me or will the immobiliser mess it up? What does the immobiliser actually do? Just stop fuel or spark or does it stop the ecu from actually powering on?
Thanks
Thanks
