Been sniffing around the tech bulletin and using the search engine but have a few gaps in my knowledge left;

I have 3mm left on the rears and 5mm left on the front of my Bridgestones after doing 11000 miles, at what tread level do people usually replace theirs. I am off to the Arran meet soon and I'm not sure if they will last for that trip.

Bracknell seem the recommended place for replacing tyres so I will try them, is it worth and will they do the geometry as well although my tyre wear looks fine.

I'm also tempted to change to Eagle F1's if so I guess the lot will need to be replaced, or should I stick with Bridgstones, or is there another option. The bulk of my driving is around town, I use the car all the time including winter.

Might need to check the post earlier today on Eagle F1's (RDownes I think) - it looks like the 16" F1 G2's are no longer going to be made so users like me will have to find a new brand

If you look in Off Topic XBy2k posted a heading "Guess where I have been today?" about our trip to Bracknell Tyres last Saturday to get tyres for the S.

If you are going there on a Saturday they are open from 8.30 am to 12.30 pm only. We arrived at 8.10 am and were fifth in the queue. When we left at 9.30 the place was heaving and I guess there were at least 12 cars waiting.

Not the easiest place to find but next door to the civic waste disposal site or dump!
