Default Tyres again....

OK, My 07 with 9000 miles on the clock is down to 3mm.

I know there have been a spate of "tyre" threads recently, but do we have an epiphany from Bridgestone or Honda on what we should be putting on...

Get RE-070 if they're out.

I have been looking at this and the choice seems to be:-
Bridgestone RE050 (MZ) some issues with supply but they do seem to be available still.
Goodyear F1 GSD3
Toyo T1-R

Not sure of all the pro's and cons as I am just moving from 16 to 17" and need to make a decision in the next week or so.

Same as you had before (bridgestones).

Most of the tyre threads are for the <04 models with 16 inch wheels as the original SO2s are now discontinued.

Just been having a shop around for 4 new tyres for my MY01 and Black Circles seem to be coming up best.

toyo's are better than bridgestones.

as long as you get the tyre pressure right.

I've had mine since September and they're much more progressive especially during wet weather. Make sure you increase the tyre pressure (Toyo recommend 35PSI front and 32PSI rear) and there's no issues with sidewall stiffness.

The overall levels of dry grip are probably less the RE050's but it's a much better all round option for the UK climate.

First person on a +04 to say that that I can remember.

I'd stick with what you know or Eagle F1 Assymetric (which isn't out yet in the correct fitments )
