I agree with Zero the difference is so noticable, It was great when I changed as I had the so3 rear so2 front combo with pre 02 settings, then swapped back to s02s and the handling improved straight away then had the 02 settings and the car came alive. Its the softness of the s03 tyre walls that makes it such a bad combo not so much the width. BTW has anyone actually measured the difference between s02 225 and other 225s?

He states he has contacted Honda and Bridgestone and tells me :
1. ok to mix s02 front and s03 rear.
2. 225 is correct size for rear tyres even if s03.
. [/Jamie, phone up Honda customer care and ask them to contact their dealer technical department and see what they say. If the answer with the mix of tyres is a no no then they will fax you telling you so, the dealer will then have on option but to change. I did this when a new diff was fitted, the dealer said no 4 wheel alignment was needed and tech dept said it was so dealer did it free. Tel 01753 590760. The dealer is probably fobbing you off. I cant beleive Honda would say its okay especially in the light of some people receiving stickers saying only fit s02s. ]

I for one wont be using the "special" S02's as being in the wet on Saturday they are Fekin useless in the wet or drying -greasy conditions, dry I grant they are great but Id need somthing that did both ( T1R/So3)

The reason for the width difference had nothing to do with speedo accuracy...
purely on the basis that the tread pattern on the rear S02 means that there is more rubber in contact with the road (esp as it wears down) than another 225 section tyre. Choosing a 245 a.n.other tyre means that you have a similar amount of grip in the dry. Bigger rain channels on other tyres = better grip in the wet. Softer (when cool) compounds in other tyres = better grip in the cold damp mornings.
So basically, if youre a big girls blouse, by some 245s. If youre not, buy some 225 ES02 JJZs.
