ive had S02s, RE050s, Toyos, and Falkens toyos - good but wear VERY fast... also not to good in the wet - S02's were ok nice and progressive - and solid... REO5's good but not as solid side walls - falkens - seem good in the wet - a tad skittish BUT are wearing well , have a nice ' breakawy' point and are nice and sticky in the dry

Cheers Gritty...that's the sort of feedback I'm after! What size profile/width did you opt for?
I should add that I'm only using them on the rears at the moment.
They seem more sensitive to incorrect tyre pressures than the others I've used as well, mind you. When I first had them fitted they were at 36psi (thanks Morgan's Tyres. The receipt said they were at 32psi.), and at +50mph it was pretty floaty, and rather scary even in a straight line. I haven't noticed that with the other tyres. I had the Bridgestones at 34psi for a period and never felt any less grip, like I did with the Falkens at a higher pressure. At 32 they're great though.

I'd recommend R888s for the summer certainly.
I managed over 5000 miles from my rears which is pretty good...actually, it's very good
Switched to Falken 452s and they don't grip as well as the R888s....shock.
But for a wintery tyre, i'm more than happy with them

16"/17" Ron?
As winter looms ever closer, I'm bearing in mind they'll need to be half decent in the wet, not that I hoon around in the rain.

i went for 'stone ER300's (16" rear's)
wont be getting them again. yet to try them in real wet weather, but they just arent as grippy when pushed in the dry.
i guess ER300's fine if your 95% of the public. not that impressive on the S though

I have also had T1Rs on the 17's
On the 16's I had GSD3s which were very good.
Get the Falkens because they are certainly a good price and a good tyre.
Then get some R888s in April
It makes sense
