Tyres
I own a 2002 S2 and have had it for 2 years. The rear tyres wear out in 6000 miles and it does not seem to matter what tyres are fitted. The car is not driven hard and the geometry has been checked twice. They seem to wear fairly even with the rear left going slightly before the right - can anyone suggest an answer please? Thanks

Is your s2000 your main vehicle, or do you just use it for fun?
If you do a mix of motorway, A roads etc then well over 6000mls is acheivable, if as you say, you don't drive it hard.
I think you may be driving it harder then you think!
As an example, the rear set i've just changed out (GS-D3's), did 10,000 miles including a couple of track days and the Euromeet, and a fair bit of tame drifting.
As you have had your geo checked, and the tyres are wearing evenly, then the culprit could be your right foot!

OP has said they wear evenly across the tyre
Left side wears slightly more quickly
Most people wear the inner shoulders first
From my experience you are doing OK
6k does seem low but some on here have had worse
Forget the geo, forget the swapping tyres over, get some better tyres
The GSD3's are well proven I get ~10K a set including track days and Hoons.
Mine is not a commute car so gets driven hard.
