Just aquired a set of 16" wheels that I'm going to compare to my 18" wheels. I might keep them and refurb depending how I get on. What sort of tyres do the 16" guys n gals on here use? I'm looking more into the size, width and profile rather than make.

245/45/16 - Rear?

If sticking with Bridgestone
Front: 205/55 R16 Bridgestone
Rear: 225/50 R16 Bridgestone

And if changing brands
Front 205/55/ R16
Rear 245/45/ R16

225 rears of other brands are fine, if sometimes tricky to get hold of.

The most popular alternatives are:

Would a wider 245/50 or 245/55 etc not be better for grip? I've seen falkens, bridgestones and toyo's online with these sizes.
