I don't think so (sorry Mark!)...
As I said yesterday....
"Dan, I have Goodyear Eagle F1's on my car and did a lot of research before fitting these. I have 245/45x16 on the rear and standard size on the front and run them all at 34.5 psi"
I don't have my car here today but IIRC, standard fronts are 205/55x16

No problem, Pete! I'm quite happy to 'fess up to being wrong!
I'd better check that it's my memory that's wrong then, confusing 50 with 55, not that I've got the wrong size fronts fitted

The confusion probably comes from the standard S02 rears having a 50% aspect ratio (i.e. they're 225/50x16)
So, Dan, if you stay on S02's you need
225/50x16 rear
205/55x16 front
If you move to Eagle-F1's you need
245/45x16 rear
205/55x16 front

No, Dan, that accolade is deserved by several other board members, not me. I just know about S02's and Eagle-F1's (and tyres in general as my father was Goodyear Divisional Manager in the West Country - you should see the tyres they use at the ECC quarries in Cornwall )

Drac, my understanding is that they are synonymous - the stock tyre is the Bridgestone Potenza S02JZ. It may be that the Potenza distinguishes it from the S02 Pole Position, which is the non-S2000 specific variant.
But then given that I got it wrong a few posts back, I'd treat what I say with great suspicion, if I were you!
