Default Tyre Pressure

The bloke from event tyre has just been and gone and I have two shiny new REO5OA 16" wheels on the back.
Set to 31psi.
He was adamant that it was 31psi according to his chart in the van and if I had any more air pressure I would have no grip and would crash and die and the insurance company would not pay out.

I always thought it was 32-33 recommended for the Bridgestone… can anyone comment?

Do you happen to know if that's written anywhere 'official'.

Those numbers will be for the S02 tyre though, not the RE050.

Meh, I guess it doesn't matter that much, it's just 1psi and that can change depending on the accuracy of the pump or whether it was a cloudy day when they were pumped up.

I checked my tyres the other day and all round they are running at 38psi... I may deflate them down to 32... I did feel the car getting a bit loose at the back at low speeds and guessing the temperatures being a little higher at the moment probably doesn't help.

That means that is why I was spinning on Sunday... 40psi

I always thought it should be 32psi In relation to what the stated ROAD pressure is

POST EDITED to stop people thinking I thought I should have had 32psi on Sunday

Lovegroova and I run our Bridgestones on 32.

Always check them when cold

Squeak, you span because you over-exuberant!!

Exactly what I was going to say

What we were doing on Sun is different to driving on the road Pip, other reasons that you want more pressure.

I always run at 32

Remember, higher pressures mean the tyres heat up faster
