I wouldnt beat yourself up over the crash Steve... it could of happened to any of us... Ive lost the back, so have plenty of others... most people have experienced it, so they shouldnt jump on your case.... I hope your back driving soon.
My incident is something that Ive replayed over in my head, so I know where you are coming from... What Ive learnt is that we should never assume anything with this car... to assume is to make an 'ass' out of 'u' and 'me'....... I wont be overtaking in the wet for a while thats for sure....

When I first got mine it was running 38psi!
It made for an earlier but less severe breakaway in the dry, which helped me learn the car better.
I think the car is great fun (so far!) in the cold, which is why I've resisted switching to winter rubber.
It dangerously lacks grip (like me sometimes) when cold, which means it is no quicker than a Micra for the first five miles. VTEC is not an option.
Then quite suddenly the grip improves and it becomes possible to twitch out of corners with too much throttle. Happy days.
Steve, it takes a lot of courage to admit you were tired and might have lost concentration. Conventional wisdom says never get on a sportsbike unless you feel 100%. Maybe we should all take that on board. Hope the car gets sorted soon.

Triple-H, I agree the ambient temperature is a factor, but I also agree that I think that should affect the way you drive more than the pressure in your tyres. Ambient temperature at the moment here is around 5 degrees C.
Steve - I have had a spin in the cold with cold tires not going very quickly but also on a corner and looking back I know I did exactly the wrong thing in lifting off and making the rear even lighter and assisting in the spin, hindsight is a wonderful thing. But I have learnt, and next time (if there is one) I believe I will keep the power stable and hope i have enough road to deal with the car. Good luck with your repair, hope you get out again soon.
