Buy some el-cheapo 16" wheels to put R888s on and save the swapping?
I am somewhat vain about my BBS though
Have you considered a certain set of BBS in the FS section with some FK452 rears and 888's or equivalent for track use? Possibly a win win, although a little costly

I have considered them but funds are limited at present, especially as I've just ordered R888s and new Dixcel pads...
This trackday lark is expensive, but seriously good fun...
Does anyone have any alignment recommendations?
Currently have:
Front
Caster: +6°15'
Camber: -1°00'
Toe: +0°00'
Rear
Camber: -2°00'
Toe: +0°20'

Steven, fk452's overheated quickly on my old m3. Good road, but wouldn't recommend them on track. However I am aware of the weight difference.
As long as you don't change a tyre too often putting r888's on, off and on again shouldn't be an issue unless the fitter is ham fisted. R888 and similar have v stiff sidewalls so can be a pain to fit, especially by an inexperienced person.
I'd definitely recommend semi slicks for spa. And you should pop to the ring, it's pretty close. And a nice drive.

If you gonna run 888, put -2.30 camber rear with same toe, -2 on the front, same caster and toe.
R888 is pretty easy to fit, some low profile RFT have alot stiffer sidewall than R888, shouldn't be a problem to take it in and out.

Mark,
Thanks for that. WiM/Blackboots will be doing the fitting, so all pretty good I think.
Spa was fun on the Bridgies, hopefully I'll be owning MB with the R888s
The Ring doesn't really appeal to me other than on a proper track day.
Thanks,
Simon

Is it worth reducing the rear toe a bit - the number I quoted is each wheel, not total?

Do you have spherical rear toe arm? If you do just put 0.07 toe in on each side, if not then try 0.14 on each side. Should get rid of most understeer with nice smooth backend.
Goodluck on overtaking MB, he got A048, Js racing spec Nitron and full undertray diffuser. Gonna be hard to catch him

Total or either side?
I have 10' either side, and going round Church I thought your car was more stable at the rear than mine. That may well be tyres (not driver skill obviously), not necessarily geo, but I felt I could have been much faster round that fast corner with more rear toe, although I may well have been slower everywhere else. I guess Church is not too disimilar to Blanchimont, just 30mph slower.
Only if he learns what the right hand pedal is for.
