I am looking for a soft top cleaning protecting system and beleive that the 303 range is the favoured option ?

Do i go for the fabric or the vinyl option ?

Also has anybody used p21 polishes and waxes as i want my moonrock paintwork to come alive a little more. Or if you have favorite alternatives ?

Cheers for the help

I use P21s and am happy with results - although you will never get the mirror like finish of the darker colours

303 is commonly used by people on here for roofs. It works wonders

I think there's only one type of 303, isn't there? It's for use on all sorts of plastic and vinyl (I bought mine from a canoe-ing website!) so I doubt that there will be a fabric option. Anyway, if there is, the S2000 roof is vinyl so that's the one you want.

I used to use P21S wax to top off Zaino and improve the "wet look" of the shine - I'm no polishing expert but it certainly seemed to give decent results for me.

PS If you want your paintwork to come alive, sell your car and buy one that isn't grey!

I find 303 to be a nightmare on dark cars, it lives blotches on the paintwork that need to be polished out.

I find Raggtopp to be far better

Be more careful where you spray it then!

Seriously, if using 303, the key seems to be to limit how much you use. A little seems to go a long way. I tended to spray it onto a microfibre cloth, rather than onto the roof directly, and then use the cloth to apply it. A sponge works well too.

Not tried Raggtopp but I've heard good things about it.

I've done that, put tiny amounts on and still got little blue/white blotches on my black car. Maybe they were less notuiceable on the blue.

Anyway, I got fed up and moved to something else, which seems to work much better, and I don't have to worry about it getting on the paintwork.

You need to apply 303 with a small sponge and ignore their spraying instructions.

Do the job slowly, and make sure you let it dry for 24 hours before any rain gets on it.

It won't run then

Always used a sponge sparingly and my car rarely goes out in the rain, and is kept in the garage. Still had the problem. I would imagine you'd never notice on a silver car.

I have seen Zymol Japon and it was very good. I use P21S and it does give some outstanding results as well as being a piece of cake to use. The only thing against it is that it doesn't seem to last that long, in that way the Zymol was better. In either case if you are struggling for a deep shine then maybe its time for a clay bar and paint prep job?

Search out Tango man on here he knows a great deal about bringing paint to life and I found him very useful indeed. Also search on the forum for the monster car cleaning threads and get some coffee

Autoglym shampoo and then treat with Autoglym bumper care, black and water still beads off on a 7 year old car.

P21s is good for topping off but its the prep work where you get best results.
