Default Twin disc clutch

As seen as this might be my only option,I'm wanting to know who's running a twin disc set up?and what it's like on the road?
Helix said they could put a kit together that can take 500lb,but they need a standard flywheel and it won't be any time soon,as they are stacked out with work.besides there's already loads of kits out there.so seems pointless getting a kit made.

Mmm,I'm not sure which way to go,I didn't really want a heavy pedal as the misses sometimes uses the car.also I wasn't wanting to spend £1200 on a clutch.
I've been looking at the act 6 puk clutch kit,my sister has a 6 puk clutch in her vx220 turbo and that isn't that bad.
When do you get the car back Glenn ??

I dont know when ill get it back Steve....I found myself with little choice when it came to a clutch and had no option but to use what I was told works.I was looking at retarded amounts of power so didnt want it to be the weakest link.Im hoping its liveable once I start using the car.

Surely there is a single plate that will do the job you require of it?When I went after a clutch my requirenents were 1000hp/1000tq, although its beyond what the car is capable of its on the safer side.

Regarding the wife driving the car ive told mine that if she can hold the clutch in and find reverse gear then she can have a drive of it.

I had a twin 6 puck lockup clutch in the Westfield. It was ridiculous.

I watched a Bloke with a 350 hp evo fitted with a paddle clutch trying to get his car on a ramp.It was like watching somebody have the clutch cable snap.I was in the process of fitting my Supercharger at the time and it made me worry about what my car was going to be like once I'd fitted an uprated clutch.

I had a 6 puk act clutch in my renault 5 gt with the Toyota engine,I had to convert it to hydraulic clutch as the cable wasn't strong enough to pull the fork over, the cable just stretched then snapped,it was the heaveist clutch I have ever used and very snappy at that, but my sisters vx220 6 puk clutch is great, and my dads noble has one,and that's acceptable.
It's seems its a bit of a mine field trying to get a decent clutch that's acceptable for road use.
