Default Turtle Wax Roof Cleaner

Bought some in passing at the weekend though read the box when I got home which said avoid getting any on the paintwork/windows. And it's a spray applicator?! Has anyone had any experience with this product?

I've only used Renovo that my brother gave me, he has an MR2 and according to their forums its the dogs danglies.

My experience of it would lead me to agree.

Before this I tried using Poorboys Natural Look, but it left smears on my windows when I folded it down then up again. It also seemed to attract dust.

Others on here have used 303 Aerospace and Ragtopp. I've not used either as I found them difficult to get hold of and I was also worried about some of the stories about the products running off and damaging the paint!

I'd go for Renovo any day, it leaves a deep dark uniform finish and water just runs off.

You could try the Turtlewax stuff, applied with a sponge. I have a cheap car wash sponge (50p kind of thing) that I use for applying that kind of product, just tear or cut a peice off and use that.

Have fun and post some pics of how it looks!

Neil.

Pour it into a container and use a sponge or cloth to apply it

This thread reminded me to go have a look at mine as I slapped the top coat of Renovo on this morning.

Roof looks the best it ever has, it was starting to look faded and this is the first time I've treated the roof to anything apart from carwash.

Not much help to the OP but Renovo gets a from me.

Sorry, just got home - 11.05!

The Renovo that I have (borrowed/stolen from my brother ) is two part.

The first one is Vinyl soft top cleaner, the second one is Vinyl Ultra Proofer.

The cleaner I only used once, the proofer a few times. If your top isn't that dirty then you probably don't need the cleaner and can go straight for the proofer.

I promise you won't be disappointed with the finish, it really does look like new.

Use a sponge to apply, it will sort of go foamy, but then the bubbles will go in a few seconds.
