I don't think its tension caused directly to the dials from turning the wheel, I think one of the welds broke on the steering column causing the metal surround to jump and break the dials

Best think is to take off the plastic covers around the column and the surround of the speedometer and have a look to see what is underneath

As above id reckon, never good to hold any car on the lock stops.

geezo thats mad, would never think that would happen,

if the plastic is not replaceable you can get a bit cut and molded, Id think the unit is glued, So will have to heat it up to remove it. Then you will be able to send it of to get replaced.

That glass (plastic) is about £90 from Honda. Once the cause is found, I'd look for 2nd hand clocks.

Thanks for the responses guys. As advised I will take the plastics off and have a look to see what has broke/gone wrong etc. I'll update then just in case anyone else searches the problem if not this week then probably after japfest.

£90! that is expensive for a bit of glass.

You could always treat yourself to a Cube unit, they look cool.
