I notice you have many mods + final drive changed did you have the car standard?
Indeed, the FD does bump up the torque numbers. It will take off from standstill in 3rd gear without stalling for example.

I can't remember what it was like stock, sorry.

See the FAQ for kangerooing in the heat https://www.s2ki.com/forums/index.php?showt...0&#entry5798522
Ah cool, would make sense as the air box lid has been removed for the noise at the GP so the heat soak would be there...

how does final drive make torque? it just means your reving he car more for the same output speed (thats just for setting off, i know the pro's and cons for sprinting)

i dont think i have tried to do this, will see what happens in the AM, my gut responce is this is normal you need to give it a little to drive it
why do you want to do this?
ok as promised i tried this today, it will drive carefully on fast idle but will not pull away from standstill from tick over, i need around 1500 to feather the clutch but it usually ends up being 2000 rpm as im a clumsy big footed oaf
accept it as a feature of the car, i often get looks of people as you scream past at 6.5k waiting for an opertunity to overtake to anybody who has never driven one it sounds like yor gran trying to reverse park but it is the only way to get the most out of the car.
this may not be the car for you, you may want something with a bigger engine, this is only a 2 litre it makes over 200 hp with NA something has to give to do that.

My car will just trickle away from rest with no throttle but only when cold and so it's reving "quite" high (about 2k), no chance when warm/hot and ticking over at a standard 1k. Once moving I can lift my feet of the pedals and it will creep along as long it's being fed nice cold air, on the clutch side I can feel a slight vibration/rotational tickle up the pedal at the bite point but I got this on the previous S too so I don't worry.
I'm sure all will be found normal when someone else drives your car.
