Track Tyres for standard 16" wheel

Track Tyres for standard 16" wheel
Evening all.
Thinking of getting some track specific tyres for my standard 16's. Problem is, there isn't a great deal out there in this fitment that match! Really liked the sound of NS2R's but you can't get them for the rears, same for Federal RSR's. The only ones I can find that match are R888's and A048's, tad on the expensive side!
Does anyone know of any gems at all? or others that match? I understand you can run wider tyres than standard on the 16's, something like 245 45 16 and 225 50 16.
Any pointers will be greatly appreciated.

The R888/A048 are really your only options unless you want to mix and match.
I think you can get AD08R in standard sizes, although those aren't really track tyres of course.

AD08R are probably the best bet unless you fancy spending out on A048?What's your track experience, is it a full blown track car? What are S2000's like on semi slicks and oil starvation? I know others Honda's should really be running a baffled sump.
AD08R will work well on track, however they won't be as good as semi slicks as posted above.

Had her 3.5 years. Pretty confident B road blaster spends most of her time around North Wales roads and done a few taster sessions in her at Oulton Park.
Handling related bits? Geo'd, polybushed with mugen compliance bushes, lowered on eibachs on stock shocks.
Don't really want to chin my road tyres / 17s. So figured wrapping these in some semi slicks would do it justice.

Tom, as a relative track novice, you'd be fine with a set of Bridgestone RE002s - relatively cheap, too.
FWIW, the AD08R are not the correct speed rating (V rather than W) if you are bothered by that sort of thing.

Which road tyres are you using? I think you'd be genuinely surprised by how capable AD08R's are.

My opinion is that AD08R's will be vastly superior to F1A2 on the S2000, especially on track. I tried them back to back on my Evo IX and I went from wanting to sell the car to wanting to keep it, they made that much difference. They really are a great all round tyre unless you're setting time trials in the pouring rain. Best bit is that they work very well on track.
