for annual insurance frizzell won't insure my missus cos she's under 30

the only other one I know who includes it is Dorset insurance of the Honda rev website, but the quote was bloody ridiculous (1800 Vs 1100 with frizzell)

I suppose the thing to do is do a few laps recce, see who are the numpty drivers-stay well away, and to look for things in the grass (including TT's)-oh and don't let my mate drive, cos at the mo he thinks he is gonna rag my car around the track

There is no problem going onto the grass if you do it properly - I twice picked my spot and neatly reversed at high speed onto a clear bit of grass at Knockhill without touching a thing

Nope thats why I bought a track car, my liability is whole 2000 pounds!!! Track insurance is expensive, I certainly wouldnt bother on an airfield, its all about knowing your limits though isnt it.

I use this for track days, sprints, solos, autotests etc etc, loads of fun!

if you bin it, why not just get towed/low loader to somewhere away from the track and then call appropriate numbers about your "road incident"..

can't say I'd bother...........the only real risk is a coming together with another car......

answer only mix it with people you know and trust

example......at Keevil, me and Rich Ralston were having a little bit of fun.......and got fairly close to each other but it was fun and safe.....likewise pursuing Mark B you can get close you trust them.....you know how they are going to react so the chances of actually touching is what I consider a low risk

there's no way I'd have been prepared to mix it as closely with people I didn't have prior experience of....so the answer is as long as you give people you don't know some space the chances are you should not need insurance

(obviously this depends on how you rate your own ability)
