Don't know how much helmets cost, but wouldn't imagine they're that cheap. All the trackdays I've done (Knockhill), helmets have been provided by the organiser. Never really felt the need to own one myself ...

I went along to a Motorsports Events trackday. They were selling off helmets at halfprice (brandnew) for ones with all the relevant BS markings.

I've been looking for a decent F1 replica helmet/overalls I could wear to track days and when I go karting. Anyone know where to find them besides ebay rip-off merchants?
Gaz, you don't wear blue Sparco driving boots as well, do you?

Just remember that car helmets and bike helmets are designed to meet different crash scenarios. A bike helmet will not ba as good in a car as a car helmet.

This was my understanding - is it something along the lines of car helmets are good for twatting hard things and bike helmets are best for skidding along things?
