Track day - is this a good deal?

It's more the other people who worry me, i'm fairly sure I won't go off as I don't go nuts on track days (there's little point - it's not a race)
For example, there was some tit in an Atom at Spa who overtook me without consent, and I damn near turned in on him...
Try arguing the money for repairs on a track!
It's very rare it woul dhappen though, I admit.

Yes I had quite a few doubts before going on track, but really it is a relatively safe environment to drive your car quickly. However because you drive your car quickly accidents can happen. If it was me (and I started a thread like this a few months ago) I would suggest you went somewhere where there is more run off. Donnington is good, my first thoughts were to go to Oulton Park, however Oulton is a technical track with very little run off so after some discussion on here I decided to do Donny instead, I had an absolute blast.
However, if the track is local to you and you don't drive stupidly fast then you will have a ball and I am sure will be ok. My advice, you may regret it if you go, you will definitely regret it if you don't.

Regarding insurance Competition Car Insurance and Richard Egger Insurance both do a 'sports car' insurance policy that covers you for road use and x number of track days a year. I have a policy with Richard Egger that covers all mods (don't need to list them all) and 4 track days a year for abotu
