Default Track Day Advise

My girlfriend has paid for me to take the S around any track in the UK

I think i'm going to do Silverstone on the 27th August.

What helmet should I buy?? Is a helmet a helmet??

If anyone else wants to add any advise please do so

Thank In Advance

I went into a bike shop and tried a load on to find one that's comfy ..

Having it fit right is a major importance.

Pleanty of bike shops around.

Who's doing Silverstone trackday in August?

You could always come to Donington with the rest of us.

make sure you get one with a proper catch instead of a toggle thing you have to feed the strap through. I didn't and its a pain in the arse.

You should come to Donington in October (see my signature for the link). Its a track much better suited to the S. Silverstone's boring unless you're driving an F1 car or a bike.

If you're feeling cheap, Moto-X helmets are acceptable for track days and are cheaper.

Or you can get a proper car helmet, but they tend to be more expensive than bike helmets.

Steven's was on topic (albeit a letter out), but only if you are educated!

Thank God Bada's not able to post the obvious
