Its that time again also with winter fastly approaching to replace the rear tyres. I'm looking at fitting the Toyo Proxes as the Goodyear Eagle F1's in the correct size are not easily available now.

The Toyo Proxes T1-R is the latest design and currently replacing the T1-S but both are still available. Does anyone know which is better for the S2000.

I currently have the Goodyear's on the front so will have a mix between the front and rear axle, I have noticed the T1-S tread pattern is similar to the Goodyear so may be a better option

Depending on how much tread you have on the front, I'd go for the T1-S, and possibly get a backup set for your next swap.

The T1-R doesn't seem to be available here in the US, but I have had a set of T1-S on mine. They are very capable tires, especially in the rain. I was a bit disappointed in them for the price, however. They cost about as much as S02's but are not quite up to par on overall performance.

Is there something wrong with the T1-R? I was considering running Toyos instead of the S02s, but thought the newer model would be the way to go?
